I went to 4 DoD schools in 6 years. The one I remember the most is Norvenich. Not because I was older, but because that is the school I attended the longest before we moved to the States. I attended Kerpen Elementary in the last year it was open (1984-1985 school year). I then went to Norvenich Elementary from 1985 (the year it opened) until 1988. I don’t remember what year it was, but we buried a time capsule to be opened in 20 years. The school was only open for 10 years, so I wonder if that time capsule was ever dug up and opened. I would really like to find out.
