American Overseas Schools Historical Society has compiled four historical books to help preserve our own dedicated history of the organization. Previously titled “Black Books,” these Historical Books record and preserve the history of Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) as well as AOSHS’s own history and are continuously updated through the present day. Our historical books proudly display educational history for past, present, and future overseas students, BRATs, teachers, and administrators.
AOSHS’s Historical Books are physically located at our office and are available to be read at the AOSHS headquarters in Wichita, Kansas. They are always available for viewing and are brought to the annual DoDDS Reunion for members to review.
