Virginia C. Reidy

Virginia Reidy was born in San Diego, California, on July 24, 1923. She received a B.A. from Occidental College, Los Angeles. While teaching elementary school in San Diego she accepted a teacher-exchange position in Glasgow, Scotland, for school year 1951-52. She enjoyed the overseas experience so much that in l954 she applied to the schools operated by the military overseas. Virginia enjoyed her assignments in Kitzingen and Frankfurt, Germany. After a number of years suffering with acute side effects of diabetes, she passed away December 6, 2001. She will always be remembered for her skillful teaching methods and bright, sunny outlook on life.
