Raymond R. Hamelin
Raymond Hamelin was born on September 25, 1930 in Uxbridge, MA. He was a graduate of Douglass High School, and received his BA degree from Wisconsin State University in 1954. He also attended SUNY in Oneonta,NY, Worcester State College and UMASS Amherst. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Air Force.
Ray joined DoDDS in 1965 where he taught math and science at Boebling High School in Germany. He transferred to Heidelberg JHS, teaching there until he retired in 1990.
After retirement, Ray worked at a local drugstore in Uxbridge and as a gardner for the Uxbridge Public Library. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church and the Uxbridge Veterans of Foreign Wars.
