Marvin Perry was born in Fayette, MO, on June 1, 1926. He joined the Army in WWII and participated in the Normandy landing in 1944.
He started teaching with DoDDS in Paris in the 1950’s where he earned extra money playing jazz piano in local clubs. He also taught in Madrid, Seville, and Zarragoza before teaching chemistry at Naples High School for well over 20 years. He was one of the most respected and beloved teachers on the staff and continued to receive hundreds of letters from former students that he would post on his door.
After his retirement from Naples, he returned to his childhood home in Fayette and passed away on March 31, 2009 after a lengthy illness.
He will be greatly missed by all who had the fortune to know him.
