Kip Taylor
1963 – 2001
LTC Kip Paul Taylor, born in Verdun, France, and a Berlin American High School graduate, class of ’81, was killed in the attack on the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. Kip’s 16 year ascent through the army ranks began when he received his commission from the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps at Northern Michigan University, a unit run by his father, Don. Kip served as a special assistant and speech writer to Lt. General Timothy Maude, also lost in the attack. He is survived by his wife Nancy and two young children. Kip will be remembered by his classmates at BAHS as the tall, blond, tousle-haired, basketball playing guy who was always smiling.
