Audrey Smigay

July 24, 1935 - March 14, 2013

Audrey was from Joliet, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Illinois and Michigan State University. She began her teaching career in California and then joined DoDDS. Her overseas assignments were Okinawa, Japan, Libya, Germany, Korea and Italy. Audrey was a dedicated teacher and made the most of her overseas assignments.

She was an active member of the Catholic Church, and held leadership positions in teacher and parent organizations.

Audrey retired to Sarasota, Florida and continued to be an active member of the community. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a vibrant personality and a caring friend.
