Bussac American School had grades kindergarten through eight. For the 1954-55 school year the principal was Irene M. Foley. There were 210 students enrolled that year. The installation had a hospital and was the home for the 106th Transportation Battalion from 1955-1958. High school students attended school at Rochefort American High School.
