Phalsbourg Elementary School in France was a K-8 school. There was one teacher for each grade. The school was located in a two-story building that had previously been a barracks. The barracks was not converted to a school, the school used the barracks rooms as classrooms. 1962 was the first year that the school had seventh and eighth grade. Students in the upper grades went to Chateauroux and were housed in the dorms.
