Metz ES History

Metz American Elementary School was located near the city of Metz, France. The city is at the tripoint of France, Germany, and Luxembourg on the Moselle and Seille rivers. The first American housing community was opened in the Woippy Housing area in 1956. Prior to this time all families lived on the French economy and were bussed to school. The principal for the 1954-55 school year was James D. Robinson and there were 261 students at the K–8 school.
