Toul ES/JHS History

Toul Elementary/Junior High School was located on Toul-Rosieres Air Base. The school was located in the Jeanne d’Arc hospital/school complex just east of the city of Toul. When the school opened it had grades one through nine. When Toul American High School opened in 1962 students in grade nine attended the new high school, and for its last year seventh and eighth grade were added.

The principal for the 1961-62 school year was Herbert Templeton and Gerald Anderson was the principal for the 1962-63 school year. The junior high had boys’ football, basketball, and softball teams, with girls’ cheerleaders. The clubs at the school included drama, audio-visual, chess, Franco–American, journalism, and photography.
