Alcoy American Elementary School was located on the Alcoy Air Force Depot near the Alicante region of Spain. The school was a three-room one-story building located across the street from the American military housing in Alcoy. There were three classrooms with combination classes for grades one and two, three through five, and six through eight. Behind the school was a playground with a number of play areas including tetherball and four-square.
