Ittenhausen American Elementary School was located 92 kilometers SSW of Ulm and 120 kilometers SSE from Stuttgart. The school was located in part of a converted Gasthaus. There were two large classrooms, and one additional room adjoining the main classroom for instructional use. The school had an office and a kitchen. For the 1981-82 school year there were twenty students in grades K-6 with a teacher and a teacher-principal.
