Darmstadt Career Center History

Darmstadt Career Center opened in 1972 and closed in 1982. The center, founded by Joseph Indresano, was in Darmstadt, Germany. Students from Heidelberg, Mannheim, Hanau, Frankfurt, and Wiesbaden High Schools attended either in the morning or afternoon to obtain Certificates of Proficiencies in areas such as medical and dental assistance, automotive and collision repair, cosmetology, business lab, computers, electronics, electricity, small engine repair, typewriter machine repair, and welding. Students remained in their school curriculum and graduated with a job skill. Dan Basarich was the principal assigned to the career center.
