Wetzlar, Germany, is a city in the state of Hesse, Germany. The city is 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) from Geissen and 80 kilometers (49.7 miles) from Koblenz. Wetzlar was a displaced persons’ camp in the Frankfurt district of the American occupied zone. The displaced persons’ camp was opened in 1946 and was closed in March 1949. No further information is known about the dependent school in the camp. There were schools in the camp for displaced children.
