Patch Elementary School is located on Patch Barracks, Stuttgart-Vaihingen. The elementary school and high school are housed in the same facility, which was opened in August 1979.
By the 1981-82 school year, the kindergarten through six school had thirty-two teachers and over 650 students. The enrollment remained constant through the eighties. By the 1993-94 school year, there were just under 600 students enrolled, and the next year the enrollment was only 550 students.
The Stallion became the school mascot of Patch Elementary School a few years after Stuttgart American High School closed in 1992. The school colors are blue and white.
Currently, Patch Elementary School provides instruction to just under 500 students from kindergarten through grade five. The staff averages around forty-five and includes two administrators, classroom teachers, specialists, and clerical and technical personnel.
For the 2022-23 school year, the school was temporarily relocated to Panzer Kaserne. The administrators for the 2022-23 school year were principal Sonja Rodriguiz and assistant principal Sara Guth.
