Sonthofen ES History

Sonthofen is near the town of Fuessen, Germany, and was the location of the occupation forces Constabulary School. This army school was located in a castle that had been used as an academy to train Nazi party leaders. The Dependent School served the dependents of the permanent military members of the school. The school was one of the first opened in Germany and was closed when the military mission was completed in the area. The last principal of the school was Richard Steppler.
