Murnau Dependent School was located at Kimbro Barracks, which was a small post that was part of the Bad Tölz Military community. The post was thirty-five miles south of Munich. Kimbro Barracks housed the Engineer-Ordnance School for the Army. The barracks was named to commemorate T/4 Truman Kimbro, an engineer who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for actions during World War II.
The school was located in dependent housing. No other information is known.
