Mörs ES (a.k.a. Rheinburg ES) History

Moers American Elementary School was located on the Rheinburg base in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. When the school opened in August 1984, there were five teachers and seventy-five students. The school was a kindergarten through eighth grade facility. The school was located in a building that had been part of a carpet manufacturing complex. The school supported dependents of the 54th Area Support Group and their agencies.

The school was housed in an eleven-classroom building with a media center, gymnasium, multipurpose room and administrative offices. Students were taught in multigrade classrooms. During the 1989-90 school year, there were 105 students enrolled and a staff of seven teachers including a teacher for mildly learning impaired.

The school was closed in 1992
