Schroeder Junior and Senior High School was dedicated on March 31, 1954, a beautiful spring day. Before the program the Sasebo Police Band played several selections. The ceremonies began with the raising of the flag by two Military Police and a Boy Scout color guard. Chaplain Brink gave the invocation, which was followed by expressions of good wishes by Colonel Schroeder and Commander Beeson. Mr. Ihnatko and Judy Brink responded on behalf of the faculty and student body. The program ended with a benediction pronounced by Chaplain Deaver.
