Kubasaki 9 (Ninth grade school) History

Closed: 1975
Kubasaki 9 was opened in 1965 and closed in 1975. The school was made up of Quonset huts that were used due to the increased enrollment on Okinawa. The most unique school in the Pacific, Kubasaki 9 – a school made up of only ninth graders – was closed when the ninth grade was merged with Kubasaki High School, making it a 9-12 high school.
