Awase ES (aka Awase Primary) History

Awase Elementary School, Okinawa, opened in 1952. The students previously attended Okinawa University School. When the school opened, it housed students in grades one through five. In the 1954-55 school year due to another increase in enrollment, Awase only had grades one and two. Awase ES continued to have only first and second grades for the next several years. The school closed in the spring of 1958.
