Chofu MS History

This school was located in Tokyo, Japan in the Kanto Mura Family Housing and served the dependents of the 37th Air Base Squadron. Chofu Junior High School was the first school building to be completed at the Kanto Mura Housing Annex. When it opened the school housed grades seven and eight. The enrollment was initially around three hundred students with yearly increases reaching a top enrollment of five hundred twenty students in school year 1971-72. There were four different principals during the school’s existence.
